Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am.
(Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating). LUNCHEON COST: $25. All attendees must contact Susie Marshall to confirm their reservation. Make your check payable to MANDARIN WOMEN’S CLUB and contact Susie Marshall at 904-885-8952 for mailing instructions. Checks must be received by October 20th. There will be no exceptions. Be sure to note on your check if you prefer a Chef’s Salad. BARBEQUE BUFFET Cole Slaw Pulled Pork B-B-Q Chicken Rolls and Butter Southern Pecan Pie Coffee, Ice Tea and Water Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. If the salad is desired, it must be noted on your check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch. PROGRAM B-I-N-G-O Come one, come all to the MWC Luncheon. You can socialize with old friends, meet new friends, enjoy a delicious lunch, and play B-I-N-G-O! BINGO cards are 10 for $5, and we will play 10 games. Bring your dauber or pen and get ready to play! Come join us for an opportunity to make new friends and maybe take home one of the ca$h prizes. |
Other Events this MonthTravel: October 7 – 11:00am – Wine Tasting at Coopers Hawk Winery and Restaurant followed by lunch at 12:15pm. The price for wine tasting will be determined by your choice of wine – either $10 or $15. Those wishing to join us for lunch will meet in the restaurant lobby at 12 noon. Carpool for Wine Tasting will meet at Hobby Lobby at 10:15am and will leave promptly at 10:30am. Rider’s cost is $6. Dining Out: October 8 – 5:30pm – We will be dining at the Blue Bamboo Canton Bistro (10110 San Jose Boulevard). If you didn’t sign up at the September luncheon, contact Judy Witte. Movie Mania: October 11 – 11:30am – “Downton Abbey: A New Era” – The beloved cast of Downton Abbey go on a grand journey to the south of France to discover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa. You are encouraged to dress up in that time period: 1912-19-26, although it’s not a requirement. Lunch will be at HarborChase at 11:30am in the dining room. We will be ordering from a prefix menu. Movie will be in the HarborChase theatre on the 3rd floor at 1:00pm. If you have questions, contact Toby Richmond. Recipe Exchange: October 12 – 11:30am-1:30pm – Hostess: Debbie Solano – The theme is “Tailgating Touchdowns” – favorite football foods! RSVP to Jane Stovall. The address will be provided one week prior to the event. Antiquing: October 14 – 9:30am – Antiquing will be held at Sue Wojtowicz’s home. Bring your favorite unique antique to share with your friends. There is limited parking so you might want to carpool from the Publix lot at either the Shoppes at Bartram Park (Old St. Augustine Road & Bartram Park Boulevard) or the Bartram Market (Race Track Road near Bartram Park Boulevard). MAH JONGG NOW HAS TWO GROUPS ON TWO DIFFERENT DATES. Anyone who would like to sub for either group, please contact the respective chair.
Marathon Bridge: October 25 – 10:30am at Cimarrone Golf Club at 10:30 am. Please call Mary Chapman if interested. Cost is $10 for prizes to be paid now and then lunch ordered off menu each month. Play 4th Tuesday of the month from September 2022 through May 2023. Night Train: Friday, October 28 - 6:30pm - Singles and Couples at HarborChase (12350 San Jose Boulevard). Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month (except December). This is Mexican Train and we will be happy to teach beginners. Park in the back and check in at the front desk. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage and snacks. Sign up at luncheon or contact Gail Packard since we need a headcount for HarborChase. BE SURE TO BRING 13 QUARTERS. Brick Oven Pizza: November 5 – 4:00pm-6:00pm – This social event will be held outside at HarborChase. The cost is $25 per person (make your check payable to Mandarin Women’s Club) and members may bring one (1) guest. Payment is due when you sign up at the October luncheon.
