NOTICE: Drop off time for donated items is 10am Someone will be at the meeting room door to receive your items. Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am. (Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating). LUNCHEON COST: $18. Please make your check payable to MANDARIN WOMEN'S CLUB and contact Susie Marshall at 904-885-8952 for mailing instructions. Checks must be received by December 9th. There will be no exceptions. Be sure to note on your check if you prefer a Chef’s Salad. MENU Chicken Marsala Roasted Potatoes Roasted Cauliflower House Garden Salad Rolls and Butter Peanut Butter Silk Pie Coffee, Ice Tea and Water Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. If the salad is desired, it must be noted on the check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only. HOLIDAY SPECIAL Drink tickets will be on sale for $5 (includes $1 tip), that can be traded for a Mimosa, Bloody Mary or White Wine. Cheers Ladies! PROGRAM This month is our traditional Holiday Chance Drawing. This is our only fundraiser for the year! So, we are asking every member to donate one holiday item to ensure the success of this important event. Some suggestions are: homemade treats (ingredients listed on a card or index card), a basket with a theme, hand-crafted items, decorations for the holiday, candles, pillows, wine, scarves, platters, glasses, jewelry, apron, dish towels, spreaders, cork screw, coasters, a holiday serving dish or bowl, a box of chocolates, a set of lotions, or a holiday cactus. You decide! Just remember to make it festive! NO USED ITEMS, PLEASE! Auction tickets will be sold during our social time and cost just $10 for 25 chances (includes a ticket for a door prize). Travel: December 10 - “the Casements“- the winter home of John D. Rockefeller. Please join us for a tour of “the Casements” at 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach. The mansion was the winter home of John D. Rockefeller. The house will be decorated for Christmas and the gift shop will be open for shopping. A $2 dollar donation is requested per visitor. We will meet at Hobby Lobby parking lot at 8:30am and leave promptly at 8:45am. Our tour begins at 10:30am. We then go to Genovese's Italian Cafe for lunch at 183 Granada Boulevard. Reservations are for 12:15pm. If you didn’t sign up at the November luncheon, contact Shirley Wright or Anita Owens to reserve your space or to volunteer to drive. PLEASE BRING YOUR MASK AND FOLLOW CDC GUIDELINES. Social: December 11 - 10:00am-12:00pm - Frog or Sea Turtle Painting at Mandarin Museum. Bring your creativity and paint a frog or sea turtle. Beverly Severns will have a signup sheet at the luncheon and collect checks. We have a limit of 25 and you must indicate whether you want a frog or sea turtle. We expect this to be popular, so two 2 different dates have been booked with a limit of 18 people per date. This is open to club members and spouses only. You may attend only one event. The cost is $35 per person plus tax. Make check payable to Beverly Severns for $37.63. You may purchase wine and alcoholic beverages for an additional cost at the dinner. No tipping allowed. However, you many donate to HarborChase’s Employee Appreciation Fund, which we highly recommend. They will have an envelope to collect cash for the fund at the event. You may call Beverly Severns to register for this fantastic Holiday Celebration. Your reservation is not confirmed until your non-refundable payment is received by Beverly Severns. Mah Jongg: December 20 - 12:30pm Harbor Chase 1st Floor. Limited parking in rear of building. We have space for 16 players. Contact Mary Kay Weis or Ann Dumire for information. . Marathon Bridge: December 28 – 10:30am at Cimarrone Golf Club. Please call or text Mary Chapman if interested. Cost is $10 for prizes to be paid now and then lunch ordered off menu each month. Play 4th Tuesday of the month from September 2021 through May 2022. Bridge: Bridge has no chair. Contact Sue Wojtowicz, Activities VP, if interested. Bunco: 1st Wednesday morning Bunco is looking for several players, and 1st Thursday evening is looking for one player. If interested please contact Anita Owens.
