Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. 
(Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating).

LUNCHEON COST:  $25.  All attendees must confirm their reservation by mailing their check to Jo-Ellen Baxley. Make your check payable to MANDARIN WOMEN’S CLUB and contact Jo-Ellen at 904-635-8722 for mailing instructions.
  Checks must be received by April 18th.  There will be no exceptions.
Be sure to note on your check if you prefer a Chef’s Salad.

Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu.  If the salad is desired, it must be noted on your check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only.

CHARDONNAY, CUPCAKES & CUTE CLOTHES from CHICO’S
Spring is almost here! It is time for our Annual Spring Fashion Show. The clothes will be provided by Chico’s and will be modeled by your friends in the Mandarin Women’s Club. This month we will have Chardonnay and cupcakes as our centerpieces. Don’t miss out on your chance to win one of those prizes. Join us for a delicious lunch and fun fashions. 
  
UPCOMING SOCIAL EVENT
MAY 25th
 
Our much-anticipated, end of the year, covered dish Social, will be Saturday, May 25th from 4-6PM at the Westminster Clubhouse, 1500 Bishop Estates Road. This will be an indoor picnic, with overflow poolside. Socials will be furnishing the meat, drinks, paper goods and decorations but we are asking all attending to bring a covered dish, to give us a wonderful selection of homemade food. Please mark your calendars and signup at the April Luncheon (husbands are welcome). Use 1 line per person to sign up, so your husband would be listed on a separate line. Also, please indicate the type of dish you will be bringing, i.e., hors d'oeuvre, salad, vegetable, fruit, starch, dessert. If you want to BYOB or special drink, please feel free. We will have a limit of 88 attendees so you must be signed up to attend.  If you have signed up and cannot attend, please let us know so your space may be filled by someone else. We are working on parking logistics and will be advising you, so stay tuned. As always we are looking forward to closing out an amazing year with this fun get-together.

Other Events this Month

Movie Mania: April 9 -  “The Whale” This movie is a Drama - Running time: 2 hours This is the story of a reclusive English teacher who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter. Brendan Frasier won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2022. Lunch will be at Julington Creek Fish House and Oyster Co. in Bartram Walk at 11:30 am, 112 Bartram Oaks Walk. Movie will be at Harbor Chase theatre, 3rd Floor at 1:00pm. Any questions, contact Andrea Braun.

Recipe Exchange: April 10 - 11:30am - 1:30pm - Patty Blalock will be hosting at her home with the theme “Spring Fling”. Don’t forget to bring a copy of your recipe, $2.00, and containers to take home leftovers. Come hungry and have fun!

Antiquing: April 12 – Antiquers will be treated to the huge Webb’s Antique Mall on I-75 between Lake City and High Springs. Lunch is at The Great Outdoors in High Springs near several small antique shops that we can explore after lunch. We will meet at Hobby Lobby, leaving at 8:30am. The ride share is $13.00 per passenger.​

Mah Jongg has two teams on two different dates. Anyone who would like to sub for either team, please contact the respective chair(s) as listed in your Directory for the appropriate team.
TEAM A: April 15, 12:30pm            TEAM B: April 22, 12:30pm
 
Marathon Bridge: April 23 - 4th Tuesday each month thru May at 11am at Noura's Cafe. Please call or text Mary Chapman if you would like to sub or want more information.

Night Train: April 26 – 6:30pm – We play at HarborChase. Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month. This is Mexican Train, and we are happy to teach beginners. Park in the back and check-in at the front desk. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Bring your own non-alcoholic drink and snacks. Sign up at the luncheon or contact Gail Packard. Signup is not required; however, HarborChase needs a headcount. If you signup, Gail will send you a reminder.
