Other Events this MonthTravel –December 5 –We will be heading to St Augustine Distillery for lunch first and then an interesting tour of their facilities located at 110-112 Riberia St. The free tour includes a brief film, tour of the production area, and a tasting. We’ll end in the gift shop where we can purchase their small batch liquor products as well as other related items. Lunch will be BEFORE the tour at the very popular "Ice Plant" restaurant in the same building. We will leave from the front edge of Kohl’s parking lot promptly at 10:45am. The rider’s share is $9 cash to your driver.
December 6-Winter Celebration at Walter Jones Historical Park. There are lots of activities, and an MWC membership table will be manned from 11am to 4pm by Suelynn Bacon, Linda Peacock, Betty Connor and Mimi Grenville. Come by and support us! Recipe Exchange – December 10 – will be held at Suelynn Bacon’s home, at 11:30am. The theme for December is "Side Dishes". Suelynn will provide dessert and drinks. Please bring a container to take home leftovers. Antiques - December 12 - Our antiquing trip this month will be to a favorite local spot, Avonlea Antique Mall, at 8101 Phillips Hwy near Baymeadows Rd. The mall will be decked out in all of its Christmas splendor, and will be brimming with holiday gifts galore. So, as is said, come shop till you drop, then shop some more! We will try to do just that, meeting at the Mall at 9:55am, antiquing for an hour, then breaking for a fabulous lunch at the Olde Florida Café inside Avonlea. We will meet at the Café at 11:00am and resume our shopping after lunch. For this trip, most of our ladies have historically preferred to meet at Avonlea rather than carpooling. Please be sure to arrive by 9:55am. |
