Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time.
Our meeting will begin at 11:00am.
(Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will
not be ready for seating)
​Luncheon Cost: $16.50.  Contact Geri Marchiafava at 993-7649 no later than October 20.  No exceptions.

Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. Guests should be advised of this option. If the salad is desired, it must be noted on your reservation check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. 
​NOTE: Salad dressings available:  Italian, Light Italian and Ranch only.
PROGRAM
​Our October program features a lecture by Dr Roger Smith, a local Historian, uthor of "Women of the American Revolution."    His lecture will include stories and research about women from the 18th
century who dared to fight the existing societal norms in order to stand for their beliefs and rights.
​Dr. Smith's books will be on display and available for purchase following the luncheon.

​Other Activities
Travel – October 7 (change from original plan) – we’re going to WJXT-Channel 47  to watch their Noon Broadcast!! This will certainly be a fun and most interesting trip. We will leave from the Hobby Lobby parking lot promptly at 11:00am, to arrive at Channel 47 by 11:30. Rider’s share will be $3, cash to your driver. By 1pm, we should be heading to lunch at Town Center. We have never been able to do this before, and are expecting a great turn out. Our thanks to Gina Wills for making this happen! Dining Out – October 8 –we will meet at 6:30pm at Bonefish Grill, 10950 San Jose Blvd. Enjoyable atmosphere with contemporary décor. The menu is seafood centric, but offers steaks, chops, chicken and lamb dishes as well. Very good wine list and some great specialty cocktails. In past experiences there (with groups of 10 to 20), the service was excellent. Staff was pleasant and helpful. All dishes came out in a timely manner. Recipe Exchange – October 12 -- will be hosted at 11:30am by Linda Peacock at her home at 3842 Habersham Forest Dr. Theme is “Soups and Stews”. Linda will provide drinks and dessert. Please bring your recipe to share and a container to take home leftovers. Sign up at the luncheon or call Linda at 880-2086 or her cell at 233-6116.
Antiques – October 14 – we will travel to the charming town of Fernandina Beach. Our first stop will be in Yulee at Antiques & More, then off to Centre St. where the stops are within walking distance of one another. We will stop around 12:30pm for a wonderful lunch at Brett’s Waterway Café. The drive is about 45 minutes, and we will leave from the Tree Steak House parking lot promptly at 9:15am.
