SUMMER HIATUS
​JUNE - JULY - AUGUST

   

The Mandarin Women’s Club installed the 2023-2024 Board Members at their May luncheon.  The new Board is comprised of Kathy Sisbarro, Judy Witte, Susan Pearson, Jo-Ellen Baxley, Patty Blalock, Sue Wojtowicz, Barbara Metallo, and Linda Peacock. 
 
The Club does not meet for lunch during the summer months, but there are still plenty of events for active members.  Members enjoy Bunco, Mah Jongg, Mexican Train, Movie Mania, and other activities.  If you want to participate in these activities, please complete and submit the Membership Form.

Other Events this Month

Travel and Antiquing Planning Meeting for 2023-2024: June 9 - 11:30am. Come and help plan the adventures for next year for Antiquing and Travel. Bring your ideas for places you want to go or have been that you want to share with the friends you’ve met at the MWC. We’ll meet at St. Mary’s Seafood & More at 11290 Old St. Augustine Road. If you didn’t sign up at the May luncheon, contact Sue Wojtowicz or Shirley Wright.
 
Movie Mania: June 13 - The movie will be “A Good Person”. This movie is an uplifting drama. Running time: 2 hours 8 min. Starring Morgan Freeman, Florence Pugh, Molly Shannon. Daniel is brought together with Allison, the once thriving young woman with a bright future who was involved in an unimaginable tragedy that took his daughter’s life. As grief-stricken Daniel navigates raising his teenage granddaughter and Allison seeks redemption, they discover that friendship, forgiveness, and hope can flourish in unlikely places. Lunch will be at Sonny’s Barbecue at 11:30am. Movie will be at Harbor Chase theatre, 3rd Floor at 1:00pm. Contact Toby Richmond.
 
Night Train: June 30, July 28, August 25 - 6:30pm HarborChase. Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month. This is Mexican Train and we will be happy to teach beginners. Park in back and enter building in the front to check-in. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Bring your own non-alcoholic drink and snacks. Contact Gail Packard if you would like to join this fun group. BE SURE TO BRING 13 QUARTERS!!!

Cruise: February 26, 2024 - It is with great pleasure that we announce the return of a very popular and much requested Social Activity, THE CRUISE! This Royal Caribbean cruise on the “Allure of the Seas” will sail out of Port Canaveral on February 26 ( check-in deadline 3PM), for a 4 night, 5 day cruise, returning on March 1. It will include 1 day of cruising, then a port call in Nassau, Bahamas from 8AM - 5PM, followed by a day at COCOCAY, Bahamas 7AM - 5PM, with an overnight return to Port Canaveral, having you off the ship and on your way home by 9AM. On board the ship, in addition to the regular dining room, there are multiple places to eat. Entertainment is included and will feature the Broadway show MAMMA MIA, an ice show as well as an Aqua Theater show. It is a private island with a huge waterpark and many water adventures, have a drink at the swim-up bar and enjoy the largest freshwater pool in the Bahamas.
