FEBRUARY LUNCHEON
February 22, 2024

Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am. 
(Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating).

LUNCHEON COST:  $25.  All attendees must confirm their reservation by mailing their check to Jo-Ellen Baxley. Make your check payable to MANDARIN WOMEN’S CLUB and contact Jo-Ellen at 904-635-8722 for mailing instructions.
  Checks must be received by February 15th.  There will be no exceptions.
Be sure to note on your check if you prefer a Chef’s Salad.

Classic Caesar Salad
 Chicken Parmesan with Basil Marinara

Coffee, Ice Tea and Water

Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu.  If the salad is desired, it must be noted on your check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only.

Red, White, and Blue and Patriots Too!
Uncle Sam wants you to help us celebrate the red, white, and blue, and patriots too! Our February luncheon will feature the music of Stevie Fingers. Tune up your vocal cords and come out and join us for a sing along of patriotic songs. Don’t forget to wear your red, white, and blue! Don’t miss out on the fun.

Other Events this Month

 Travel: February 2 – We will be taking a tour of First Coast News stations WJXX/ABC25 and WTLV/NBC12, watch a “live” broadcast of First Coast Living on WTLV/NBC 12 and meet some of the First Coast News members. Up to 14 club members can attend. Meet at Hobby Lobby 9am, leaving at 9:15am sharp. Rider’s share is $6.00 per person. Lunch afterwards at European Street Cafe. If you did not sign up at the January luncheon, contact Jo-Ellen Baxley or Sandy Burdon regarding availability

Antiquing: February 9 – This month we will be exploring The Great American Antique Mall, 9365 Phillips Highway (US route #1) at Shad Road. Carpoolers will leave the Hobby Lobby parking lot at 9:45am, and the rider’s share is $5. Afterward, we will enjoy lunch together at the Olive Garden (just down the street). Any questions contact Linda Yocom.  If you did not sign up at the luncheon, contact Linda regarding availability.

Movie Mania: February 13 -  Come join us for “The Fabelmans”. This movie is a drama with a running time of 2 hours 30 minutes. Loosely based on Steven Spielberg's childhood growing up in post-World War II era Arizona from age seven to eighteen. A young man named Sammy Fabelman discovers a shattering family secret and explores how the power of movies helps us see the truth about each other and ourselves. Lunch will be at Dolce’s Pizza at 11:30 am. Movie will be at HarborChase theatre, 3rd Floor at 1:00 pm. Any questions, contact Andrea Braun.

Recipe Exchange: February 15 - 11:30am - 1:30pm - Please note day and date change since our regularly scheduled day falls on Ash Wednesday. Sue Wojtowicz will be hosting at her house with the theme of “Your Heart’s Desire”. Don’t forget to bring a copy of your recipe, $2.00 and containers to take home leftovers. Happy Valentine’s Day! If you did not sign up at the January luncheon, contact Sue for availability.
 
Mah Jongg has two teams on two different dates. Anyone who would like to sub for either team, please contact the respective chair(s) as listed in your Directory for the appropriate team.
TEAM A: February 19, 12:30pm            TEAM B: February 26, 12:30pm
 
Night Train: February 23 – 6:30pm – We play at HarborChase. Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month. This is Mexican Train, and we are happy to teach beginners. Park in the back and check-in at the front desk. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Bring your own non-alcoholic drink and snacks. Sign up at the luncheon or contact Gail Packard. Signup is not required; however, HarborChase needs a headcount. If you signup, Gail will send you a reminder.
 
Marathon Bridge: February 27 - 4th Tuesday each month thru May at 11am at Noura's Cafe. Please call or text Mary Chapman if you would like to sub or want more information.
