Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time.
Our meeting will begin at 11:00am.
(Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will
not be ready for seating)


LUNCHEON COST:  $17.  Contact Mary Shell at 859-6299 for reservations.  Checks must be received by September 20th.  There will be no exceptions.

Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. Guests should be advised of this option. If the salad is desired, it must be noted on the reservation check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only.


PROGRAM

​We welcome everyone back to our fall season kickoff with our annual Bingo Party. Bingo cards will be sold in sets of 10 for $5. You may purchase as many sets as you wish to increase your chances of winning a generous cash prize! Bring your dauber and get ready to play! Pens will be available, so don’t worry if you are not a professional Bingo player with a dauber. So come for fun, catch up with friends and win $$$!


SPECIAL FUTURE EVENTS
 
“ELF” at the Alhambra - December 6 - 11:15am: We have purchased a block of 75 tickets to ELF for a MEMBERS ONLY special luncheon presentation. Purchase tickets directly from the Mandarin Women’s Club by October 25 for $29. We will be carpooling and leaving at 9am. There will only be one choice of entrée at this event. Please make your check payable to Mandarin Women’s Club to ensure that you will get a ticket. If you have questions, please contact Barbara Petty.  This is a “first come, first served” event so be sure to bring your check or $29 cash to our September luncheon to purchase your ticket.
 
Savannah Christmas Trip - December 1 - This trip is open to members and guests. Cost is $104 per person. It will leave Kohl’s at 8am by Deluxe Motorcoach and return to Kohl’s 7:30-8pm the same day and is a Destinations Unlimited tour. Lunch will be at the Pirate’s House (included) with browsing on River Street then to the Savannah Theatre for a “Christmas Tradition.” Make your check payable to Mandarin Women's Club by November 15. Other Events this Month

Antiques and Travel: There will be no antique or travel trips in September but check your October newsletter for the great things planned for both travel and antiquing in October. 
       
Movie Mania – There will be no Movie Mania in September. But check back in October. 

Mah Jongg – September 17 – will be played in the Hibiscus Building at Westminster Woods permanently. Hibiscus (Building H) is on the right immediately inside the gates. Parking is very limited, so carpooling is necessary. Ann Dumire will email players monthly to set up car pools from Fresh Market. Play will still begin at 12:30pm. If you have any questions, contact Ann.
 
Mangia Mamas –September 21 - will be at Clara's at the Cathedral, 256 E Church Street. This is a favorite of our ladies, a wonderful culinary experience from The Clara White Mission. $10 (cash is appreciated with a tip jar at the check-in table.) Our reservations are for noon for 20 people. Car pool from Hobby Lobby, leaving at 11:15 sharp. $5 to your driver. This is before the first club luncheon so you must sign up by contacting Cathy Rickert. Email is preferred and remember to mention if you will be carpooling, can drive, or will meet us there.
 
Bridge –September 18 – will meet at 9:45am at the Ramada Inn, 3130 Hartley Road. The cost is $16 cash, and buffet lunch is included. If you have any questions, or would like to join the sub list, please call Hannah Stefanides .

Marathon Bridge – September 25 – takes place at 10:00am at the Ramada Inn, 3130 Hartley Road on the 4th Tuesday of each month September through May except December. The cost is $15.00 cash, and includes buffet lunch. To join the sub list, or if you have questions, please call Mary Chapman.
 
Night Train – September 28 – Singles and Couples. We meet at Westminster Woods in the River Room at 6:30pm for social time and play will begin at 7:00pm. We can park in any spot to the left of the flagpole in front of the building. There is no host, so please bring snacks to share and your own beverages. The decision to play with quarters or keep score will be determined by each table. Please come prepared. Sign up at the luncheon, or contact Iris Read. Sign up is not required, but if you do, Iris will send you a reminder.
