Other Events this Month

Travel – Saturday March 28 – Advance Notice
This great tour has been moved forward from April, and spouses are encouraged to come.  After we carpool to Blue Fish restaurant, we’ll be met by Gary Sass of Ad Lib Tours, who will drive us by several Riverside homes on a bus, sharing their history and other facts.  We will then tour the home of Wayne Wood, who is one of the founders of the Riverside Arts Market and author of wonderful books about the Jacksonville area. The tour will end at Blue Fish, where we will have lunch at our own cost. The price of the tour itself will be approximately $40 per person, depending on the number of participants.  We must have at least 20 people to receive that price, so plan to sign up and bring your spouse.  It will be a fun Saturday, based on past experiences with Gary.

Dining Out - February 7 - will be at Beach Road Chicken Dinner at 4132 Atlantic Blvd near the Hart Bridge Expressway. Have a great meal at a historic Jacksonville restaurant. We will meet at 6:30pm. You don’t want to miss this one.

Recipe Exchange – February 11 - will be held at 11:30 to 1:30pm at the home of Linda Peacock . The theme is “Beef”. Linda will provide dessert and drinks. Please bring your recipe to share, and a container to take home leftovers.

Antiques – February 13 – will trek across the river to one of our most popular destinations, Park and King Streets in Riverside.

Travel – Saturday February 14 – will be a fun day at the Orange Park Kennel Club. We will meet at 11:30am at the Clubhouse. Price per person is $12.95, and includes entrance fee, buffet lunch, your scratch sheet, and a program, all in a private room. Plan to join us and maybe win some money!
