December 19, 2019 Ramada Inn Drop off donations at 10am. Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am. (Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating). LUNCHEON COST: $17.50. Contact Betty Waldrep at 904-571-6765 for reservations. Checks must be received by December 12th. There will be no exceptions. MENU Chicken Cordon Bleu Roasted Vegetables Potatoes Au Gratin Feta and Strawberry Salad Carrot Cake Rolls & Butter Coffee, Ice Tea and Water Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. Guests should be advised of this option. If the salad is desired, it must be noted on the reservation check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only. HOLIDAY SPECIAL As an enhancement to our social time and holiday luncheon, we will have Mimosas, Bloody Marys, Champagne, Chardonnay and Merlot available with a drink ticket purchase of $3.00 cash. Trade in your ticket at the in-room bar for a drink of your choice. Cheers Ladies! PROGRAM Our program is our traditional Holiday Chance Drawing. This is our only fundraiser for the year! So, we are asking every member to donate one holiday item to ensure the success of this important event. Bring a delicious dessert, cheese and crackers, bottle of wine, chocolates, a plant or whatever you think someone would like. Did I mention chocolate? NO USED ITEMS PLEASE. Include an index card with the description of your item. If you bake something, please include the list of ingredients because of allergies. Chance Drawing tickets will be sold during our social time and cost just $10 for 25 chances. Come join in the fun, share the holiday spirit with your friends, and hopefully take home a great item! If you have not signed up to donate, you can still do so by calling or emailing Bev Severns. SPECIAL FUTURE EVENT Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-Hills – March 22 - We will travel by bus to Mission Inn where we will enjoy a Champagne Brunch. Visit the extravagant buffet as often as you choose: omelets , caviar, salmon, cheesecake. Afterwards we will travel to Mt. Dora to do some shopping. A day of fun and surprises. Check must be to Barbara Petty by February 20, 2020. Cost $113.00.

Other Events this MonthTravel – December 6 - 13th Annual Amelia Island Holiday Home Tour - We have 27 women Traveling to the 13th Annual Holiday Home Tour on Amelia Island. We will meet at Hobby Lobby on Old St. Augustine Road at 8:30am leaving at 8:45am sharp. Finding a place for us to all have lunch together has been difficult but, we’re still looking. Rider’s share is $9.00. Contact Shirley Wright or Sue Wojtowicz.
Savannah Theatre - December 7 – “A Christmas Tradition” - 15 seats are available on the bus. If 45 people signup we can get a 2nd bus. Cost $111 includes lunch at the Pirate’s House. Questions contact Barbara Petty or Sharon Rosenblum. Recipe Exchange - December 11 - 11:30-2:00 pm at the home of Sandra Varner. “Christmas Favorites” is our theme. RSVP to Sandra. Cost is $2.00. Bring a copy of your recipe and a container for leftovers. Alhambra Theatre - December 12 – “ELF” - Be at theater by 10am. Lunch will be served 10:15-11:30. Show starts 11:30am. Late comers may not be served lunch. Contact Barbara Petty for additional information. Antiquing - December 13 - The group had a wonderful time last year finding treasures at The Great American Antique Mall. Now it's even better with a 2nd stop at Avonlea Antiques Mall where we will shop & have lunch. No carpooling as this is local. Meet 10 am at The Great American Antique Mall, 9365 Philips Hwy (just north of Shad Rd.). If you have questions, contact Chris Inman. Mah Jongg - December 16 - 12:30pm - Hibiscus Building (Building H) at Westminster Woods. On the right immediately inside the gates. Parking is very limited, so carpooling is necessary. Ann Dumire will email players monthly to set up car pools from Fresh Market. Bridge - December 17 – We meet at 9:45am at the Ramada Inn, 3130 Hartley Road.
