Other Events this Month

Travel – April 1 – will be a trip to Ocala for the world famous glass bottom boats at Silver Springs State Park. We will leave promptly at 8:30am from the far left end (the Great Wall end) of the Beall’s parking lot on San Jose in order to head down SR13 to SR16 to begin our trip. The glass bottom boats offer a 30 minute tour every 30 to 45 minutes. Glass panels built into the deck reveal artifacts and antiquities lying on the bottom of the crystal clear water. Entrance to the park is $8 per car, everyone pays her share. Tickets for the boats are $11. Senior rate is $10. There will be time for restrooms and the gift shop before heading into Ocala to lunch at Harry’s on the Square, a branch of the St. Augustine Harry’s. Even with a little strolling around town, we should be heading home by 2:00pm. Rider’s share is $14.00, cash to your driver. Please sign up at the luncheon or contact Ann Blodgett.
