Ramada Inn Ramada Inn Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am. (Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating). LUNCHEON COST: $17.50. Contact Betty Waldrep at 904-571-6765 for reservations. Checks must be received by October 17th. There will be no exceptions. MENU Chicken Parmesan Pasta w/Marinara Green Beans Caesar Salad Lemon Bars Rolls & Butter Coffee, Ice Tea and Water Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. Guests should be advised of this option. If the salad is desired, it must be noted on the reservation check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only. PROGRAM We are pleased to welcome the Classic Charm Quartet. These four charming and classic babes got together in 2017. Song keeps them in rhythm. This year they won 4th place in the Sweet Adelines International, Coastal Harmony Region 9 Competition. They also won the Platinum award for the highest scoring quartet over the age of 55. Come be entertained and charmed by the award winning “Classic Charm Quartet”. Other Events this MonthTravel - October 4 - Berry Good Farm Tour 10am at North Florida School for Special Education @ 223 Mill Creek Road. $5 covers garden tour and one of their special teas. Lunch will be at LongHorn Steakhouse @ 9276 Arlington Expressway. Carpool from Hobby Lobby leaves at 9:30am sharp. Movie Mania - October 8 - “Poms” with Diane Keaton. The movie will begin promptly at 1pm at the Harbor Chase Theatre located on the 3rd Floor. For lunch, we will meet at the Metro Diner at 11:30am. Come join us as we “cheer” for seniors in this fun movie. If you did not sign up at the September luncheon, contact Toby Richmond. Recipe Exchange - October 9, 11:30-2:00pm at the home of Kathy Dundale. “Southern Cooking” is our theme. Cost is $2.00. Bring a copy of your recipe and a container for leftovers. RSVP to Kathy. Antiquing - October 11 - Beach Boulevard Thrift Shops - We will meet at 9:15am and leave promptly at 9:30am from the Hobby Lobby parking lot. We will browse a selection of thrift stores and then have lunch at Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill located at 2309 Beach Boulevard. Rider’s fee is $5.00. If you did not sign up at the September luncheon, contact Linda MacLeod. Dining Out -October 12 - 6:30 PM – We will be dining at Copelands of New Orleans located at 4310 Southside Boulevard. Bridge –October 15– We meet at 9:45am at the Ramada Inn, 3130 Hartley Road. The cost is $17.50 cash, and buffet lunch is included. If you have any questions, or would like to join the sub list, please call Hannah Stefanides . Marathon Bridge – October 22 – takes place at 10:00am at the Ramada Inn, 3130 Hartley Road. The cost is $17.00 cash for a buffet lunch and a regular member fee of $10 to play for the season. If you are interested in playing as a sub or a regular member, please call Mary Chapman. Night Train – Octoberber 25 – Singles and Couples. We meet at Westminster Woods in the River Room at 6:30pm for social time and play will begin at 7:00pm. Park in any spot to the left of the flagpole in front of the building. There is no host, so please bring snacks to share and your own beverages. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Sign up at the luncheon, or contact Bev Severns or Gail Packard.
