Other Events this Month

Travel – September 4 – will be an adventure to the downtown area to tour the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) at 333 N. Laura St., and have lunch at Café Nola located in the museum entrance. MOCA has over 1,000 works of art from photography and paintings to sculptures collected from 1960 to the present. We will leave from Hobby Lobby promptly at 10:00am to drive to the Kings Ave. Parking Garage to take the Skyway to downtown’s Hemming Park. If time permits, prior to lunch we can wander through the park to see all the wonderful changes that have been made. We will be at Café Nola at 11:15 for lunch, following by our museum visit. Later, we can revisit the park or go straight back to the Skyway if desired.

The Skyway is free, Museum entrance is $8, $5 for seniors. Kings Ave. parking is $5 for 1-3 hours, $8 for 4-6 hours, to be shared by each carload. Separately, rider’s share for the trip is $7, cash to your driver. Please contact Linda Sherrod.
