NOVEMBER LUNCHEON
 November 18, 2021

​Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am.
(Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating).
 
LUNCHEON COST:  $18.   Please make your check payable to MANDARIN WOMEN'S CLUB and contact Susie Marshall at 904-885-8952 for mailing instructions.
  Checks must be received by November 11th.  There will be no exceptions.
Be sure to note on your check if you prefer a Chef’s Salad.
 
MENU

Baked Manicotti w/Basil Marinara
Buttered Fettuccine
Sauteed Spinach
Classic Caesar Salad
Rolls and Butter
Carrot Cake
Coffee, Ice Tea and Water 

Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu.  If the salad is desired, it must be noted on the check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only.

PROGRAM

This month we are honored to have as our guest speaker, Keli Coughlin Joyce, CEO of the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation. Ms. Joyce will speak about her father’s Foundation and how it has helped over 5,000 families. We are looking forward to learning more about this great foundation.

Other Events this Month

Social: November 4 - 2:00-4:00pm - Free Food Demonstration and Tasting at HarborChase. Limit: 20 people. Experience a taste of HarborChase with a live cooking demonstration by Chef Johnny. He will demo Lobster Bisque, and we get to sample some of Chef Johnny’s favorite dishes. Everyone will receive a to-go kit to make lobster bisque at home. Contact Bev Severns for further information.

Antiquing: November 5 - Fernandina Beach is a cute little town that everybody loves. We will meet at the Hobby Lobby near St. Mary’s Seafood at 8:45am, leaving at 9am sharp. There are two large antique shops on Centre Street, and a good restaurant, Cafe Karibo’s, three blocks away. Plus, more than one ice cream shop, a Christmas store, and other interesting places to investigate. The riders cost is $12.00. Sign-up at the luncheon.
 
Mah Jongg: November 15 - 12:30pm Harbor Chase 1st Floor. Limited parking in rear of building. We have space for 16 players. Contact Mary Kay Weis or Ann Dumire for information.
 
Mangia Mamas: November 19 - 11:30am - We will be going to The Blue Fish Restaurant at 3551 St. Johns Avenue. We will meet at Hobby Lobby at 10:45 am so that we may leave at 11:00 am sharp. Riders share is $7.00. Please let Linda Bowman know if you would like to be a driver.
 
Marathon Bridge: November 23 – 10:30am at Cimarrone Golf Club. Please call or text Mary Chapman if interested. Cost is $10 for prizes to be paid now and then lunch ordered off menu each month. Play 4th Tuesday of the month from September 2021 through May 2022.

Night Train: November 26 – 6:30pm - Singles and Couples. We will meet at HarborChase (12350 San Jose Boulevard) at 6:30pm for social time and play will begin at 7pm. Please bring your own beverages. BE SURE TO BRING 13 QUARTERS ($3.25).  Sign up at the luncheon or contact Bev Severns.

Travel: December 10 – 8:30am - “the Casements“ - the winter home of John D. Rockefeller. Please join us for a tour of “the Casements” at 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach. The mansion was the winter home of John D. Rockefeller. The house will be decorated for Christmas and the gift shop will be open for shopping. A $2 dollar donation is requested per visitor. We will meet at Hobby Lobby parking lot at 8:30am and leave promptly at 8:45am. Our Tour begins at 10:30am. We will then go to Genovese's Italian Cafe for lunch at 183 Granada Boulevard. Reservations are for 12:15pm. Please sign up at the November luncheon and let Shirley Wright know if you will drive. Social: December 11 - 10:00am-12:00pm - Frog or Sea Turtle Painting at Mandarin Museum. Bring your creativity and paint a frog or sea turtle. Beverly Severns will have a signup sheet at the luncheon and collect checks. We have a limit of 25 and you must indicate whether you want a frog or sea turtle. Please make check for $22 payable to Beverly Severns. All materials are provided. For more information contact Beverly.
 
Bridge: Bridge has no chair. Contact Sue Wojtowicz, Activities VP, if interested.
 
Bunco: 1st Wednesday morning Bunco is looking for several players, and 1st Thursday evening is looking for one player. If interested please contact Anita Owens. If you are interested in playing Bunco, look for the signup sheet at the luncheon.
