Ramada Inn Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am. (Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating.) LUNCHEON COST: $17. Contact Geri Marchiafava at 993-7649 for reservations. Checks must be received by September 21st. There will be no exceptions. MENU Barbecued Chicken Barbecued Pulled Pork Cole Slaw Potato Salad Buns Banana Pudding Coffee, Ice Tea and Water Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. Guests should be advised of this option. If the salad is desired, it must be noted on the reservation check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only. PROGRAM We welcome everybody back to our fall kickoff with our annual Bingo Party. Bingo cards are sold in sets of 10 for only $5.00! You may use one card per game, several at a time, or all at once, it’s up to you. Additional sets will be available. Bring your daubers and get ready to play! Pens will be provided, so don’t worry if you don’t have a dauber! The prizes are generous, so come for the fun, catch up with everyone, and hopefully go home with a prize! |
Other Events this MonthAntiques – September 8 – we will meet for our annual “Show and Tell” salad luncheon at Mary Ethel Hinchliffe’s home at 10:00am. Please bring a favorite antique or collectible to share with the group, or something interesting from your life. We have had some fascinating items brought to previous Show and Tells. Please bring a cup of salad ingredient, your choice. Mary Ethel will provide the salad greens for a base, coffee, tea, and dessert. Since this event comes before the September luncheon, please contact Mary Ethel.
Movie Mania – September 12 – we will meet at the Regal Theater on Philips Hwy for the early afternoon movie. Hostess of the month will pick the movie, and an email will be sent out with meeting time, and the name and time of the movie. Please sign up at the luncheon or contact Toby Richmond. Mangia Mamas – September 15 – we will head to Lulu’s Waterfront Grille, 301 North Roscoe Blvd., in Ponte Vedra. Carpool from Hobby Lobby’s parking lot promptly at 11:15am. Mah Jongg – September 18 – will be played in the Hibiscus Bldg. at Westminster Woods permanently. Hibiscus (Building H) is on the right immediately inside the gates. Parking is very limited, so carpooling is necessary. Geri Marchiafava will email players to set up car pools from Fresh Market. Play will begin at 12:30pm. If you have any questions, contact Geri. Bridge –September 19– will meet at 9:45am at the Ramada Inn, 3130 Hartley Rd. The cost is $15 cash, and buffet lunch is included. If you have any questions, or would like to join the sub list, please call Hannah Stefanides. Marathon Bridge – September 26 – is the beginning date for Marathon Bridge, which ends May 22, 2018. Each player must be a member in good standing of MWC and must pay a one-time fee of $10. This money will be distributed as prize money in May. Checks should be made payable to Mary Chapman and mailed to her ASAP. This is a bridge luncheon activity which takes place at the Ramada Conference Center on San Jose Blvd. on the 4th Tuesday of each month except December. Members should arrive by 10am with $15 to cover the cost of lunch. A schedule of players and a substitute list will be provided. Please call Mary for any other information, or to make comments or suggestions. Night Train – September 29 - Couples and Singles are together again! Play is at Westminster Woods in the River Lounge. Social time begins at 6:30pm, and play begins at 7:00pm. Please bring your snacks and beverage. Each table decides whether to play for dollars or for quarters, so be prepared for either! |
