Ramada Inn NOTE TIME CHANGE – MEMBERS ONLY Doors open at 9:00am for check-in/social time. Games begin at 9:30am. Meeting will follow at 11:45am (Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating) LUNCHEON COST: $17. Contact Mary Shell at 859-6299 for reservations. Checks must be received by April 18th. There will be no exceptions. MENU Grilled Boneless Pork Chop w/Caramelized Onions Spanish Rice Fried Green Tomatoes Spinach, Feta and Strawberry Salad Carrot Cake Rolls and Butter Coffee, Tea and Water Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu. Guests should be advised of this option. If a salad is desired, it MUST BE noted on the reservation check. Otherwise, you will NOT get a salad. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only. PROGRAM “Game Day” - MEMBERS ONLY Your choices are Bunco or Mexican Train. You must choose one. Write BUNCO or MEXICAN TRAIN on your luncheon reservation check. Mexican Train will have its own room for play, and Bunco will be at one end of our banquet room. You need not bring any money for either game. We have great prize money for this event! Make your reservation, enjoy a game, make new friends, and perhaps go home with a prize. SPECIAL FUTURE EVENTS Annual Picnic – May 4 - Mark your calendar for our Annual Picnic at Losco Regional Park, 10931 Hood Road S, Jacksonville. No Cost. The same delicious restaurant that always supplies our BBQ will be feeding us again. Husbands are invited. “Mama Mia” at the Alhambra - September 7 - Save the Date! We have a limited number of seats reserved. Arrive at 11am for the 12:30pm performance. There will be no organized car pools. Payment for show and gratuity is $47.00 - checks only. Checks should be made payable to Mandarin Women's Club and received no later than August 8th. You may pay at meetings or mail your check to Debbie Jones.

Other Events this MonthJekyll Island: April 1 - tour the island and historic district in our own private tram. Lunch at Jekyll Seafood (change). $13 for tour, $9 to carpool driver, $30 lunch including gratuity. Please bring enough cash/change to pay for each venue. Contact Debbie Jones with any questions.
Travel: April 5 - This month we will tour The Casements, John D. Rockefeller's winter home, in Ormond Beach (25 Riverside Drive). The tour is free, but a $1 donation per person is recommended. Lunch is at The Grind Gastropub (49 W. Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach) after the tour. We will leave from the Kohl's parking lot (by the street) at 9:30 am. Rider's share is $9. Sign up at the luncheon or contact Leslie Lawrence. Movie Mania: April 9 – Come join us for the Academy Award nominated movie ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. We will be having lunch at V Pizza at 11:30 am. The movie will be at Harbor Chase, 3rd floor theatre, 1 pm. If you have questions, contact Toby Richmond. Recipe Exchange: April 10 - “Family Favorites”. Recipe Exchange has grown and will be held at two homes. 30 members may sign-up and will be split 15 per home by the hosts, Kathy Raiford and Linda Peacock. You will be notified by one of the hosts regarding which home you will be going to. Bring a copy of your recipe and containers for leftovers. Cost $2.00, time 11:30-2 pm. Car pooling suggested. Antiquing: April 12 - Traveling to Palatka to browse for antiques and other items of interest. Lunch will be at Corky Bell’s Seafood at Gator Landing. We will meet at Beall’s parking lot on San Jose at 9 am leaving promptly at 9:15 am. Riders share is $7.00. If you have questions, contact Sue Wojtowicz or Shirley Wright. Dining Out: April 13 – will dine at Valley Smoke Barbecue restaurant on Saturday at 6:30PM. It’s a newer restaurant in Ponte Vedra, with lovely decor, in a beautiful setting on the water. www.valleysmoke.com or 285-3235. The restaurant is located at 11 S. Night Train: April 26 - Singles and couples meet at the River Lounge at Westminster Woods at 6:30pm for social time; play will begin at 7pm. Park in any spot to the left of the flagpole in front of the building. There is no host, so please bring snacks to share and your own beverages. The decision to play with quarters or keep score will be determined by each table. Sign up at the luncheon, or contact Iris Read.
