JUNE - JULY - AUGUST

The Mandarin Women’s Club installed the 2025-2026 Board Members at their May luncheon.  The new Board is comprised of Judy Witte, Jo-Ellen Baxley, Patty Blalock, Barbara Metallo, Judy Baier, Lisa Steely, Andrea Braun, and Sharon Rosenblum. 
 
The Club does not meet for lunch during the summer months, but there are still plenty of events for active members.  Members enjoy Bunco, Mah Jongg, Mexican Train, Movie Mania, Continental Rummy, and other activities.  If you want to participate in these activities, please complete and submit the Membership Form.

Remember to renew your membership for the 2025-2026 club year which begins June 1st. Be sure to renew your membership so you won't miss out on any activities during the summer months. The Membership Form was attached to the May Newsletter and is also available here.

Other Events

Movie Mania: June 10 – “Back In Action” - Running Time: 1 hr. 54 min. Comedy / Action & Adventure. Fifteen years after vanishing from the CIA to start a family, elite spirit Matt & Emily jump back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown. Lunch: Dolce’s Pizza next to HarborChase 11:30 am. Movie will be at HarborChase theatre, 3rd Floor, 1:00 pm. If you have questions, contact Toby Richmond.  The next Movie Mania will be in October.

Mah Jongg currently has two teams on two different dates. Anyone who would like to sub for either team, please contact Mary Kay Weis for Team A or Sarah Sallas-Herring for Team B.
 
TEAM A: June 16, July 21, August 18 @ 12:30 pm                              
TEAM B: June 23, July 28, August 25 @ 12:30 pm
 
Team B Mah Jongg plays on the 4th Monday of every month at 12:30pm at members’ homes. If you are interested in joining and are an experienced Mah Jongg player, you will be placed on a sub list and will be selected by priority according to your MWC enrollment date. Contact Sarah Sallas-Herring if interested.
 
Continental Rummy: June 25 (no play in July or August) - 10:00am at the Burger Barn (475 Durbin Pavilion Drive near the Cinemark Theater). We finish with both lunch and play around 1-1:30 pm. No experience needed (we will teach you!). Any number of people can play (no teams). Fun to play and easy to learn. Bring $1.80 in dimes and money for lunch. Please RSVP to Debbie Jones. 
 
Night Train: June 27, July 25, August 29 ​ – 6:30pm – We play at HarborChase. Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month. This is Mexican Train, and we are happy to teach beginners. Park in the back and check-in at the front desk. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Bring your own non-alcoholic drink and snacks. If you are interested in joining this group, contact Gail Packard.

Marathon Bridge will return in September. 

Dining Out and Recipe Exchange will return in October.

Lunch Bunch will return in November.
