Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time. Our meeting will begin at 11:00am.
(Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating).
 
LUNCHEON COST:  $25.  All attendees must contact Barbara Matello to confirm their reservation. Make your check payable to MANDARIN WOMEN’S CLUB and contact Barbara for mailing instructions.
  Checks must be received by January 13.  There will be no exceptions.
Be sure to note on your check if you prefer a Chef’s Salad.

Chef’s Salad is offered as an alternative to the menu.  If the salad is desired, it must be noted on the reservation email or check. No changes can be made after reservation deadline. NOTE: Salad dressings available are Italian, Light Italian, or Ranch only.
 
PROGRAM

JACKSONVILLE STRING QUARTET
The Mandarin Women’s club will be hosting a string quartet. We will be entertained by a quartet from the Jacksonville Symphony Ensemble. They will begin the performance at 12:00 noon. Come and join us for this lovely event.

Other Events

 Antiques: January 10 - 10am. Antiquing will be at Avonlea Antique Mall on Phillips near Baymeadows Road. If you’ve never been there, it will be a treat! If you have, here’s your chance to browse again in the largest antique store in Jacksonville. Plus, we can eat lunch at the Full Circle Eatery. We will meet there at 10am, January 10th. Movie Mania: January 14 - Join us for “Bringing Down the House”. This movie is a comedy starring Steve Martin, Eugene Levy & Queen Latifah.  A workaholic, divorced & strait-laced attorney meets a brainy, bombshell lawyer in an online chat room and they decide to make a date. To his surprise, she is a wild and crazy soul sister who just escaped from prison and she wants him to clear her name. Come and see how this turns out. It might surprise you! Lunch will be at Dolces Pizza located at 12276 San Jose Boulevard (close to HarborChase) at 11:30am. Movie will be at HarborChase theatre, 3rd Floor at 1:00pm.  Any questions, contact Toby Richmond.
 
Mexican Train Team B: January 15 - at HarborChase, play begins at 10:00am. Anyone interested in learning to play Mexican Train please contact Peggy LaRocca. We will teach you how to play! Fun game and easy to learn! We play the 3rd Wednesday of each month (excluding December) at HarborChase located on San Jose Boulevard.
 
Lunch Bunch: January 17 – We look forward to having a wonderful lunch at The Ford Garage Restaurant in St. Augustine, 550 Outlet Mall Boulevard. We will be leaving Hobby Lobby at 10:45am to be at the restaurant at 11:30. If you didn't sign up at the luncheon in December, please call or text Linda Bowman.

Continental Rummy: January 22 – 10:00am, meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month 10:00am to approximately 1:30pm at Burger Barn, 475 Durbin Pavilion Drive, Suite 103, St. Johns, FL 32259 (next to Cinemark Theater). The game is easy to learn, played as an individual (not pairs), tables of 3-8. There is both luck of the cards and some strategy involved. Participants should bring $1.20 in dimes. If you would like a copy of the rules, have questions or would like to sign up please email (preferable) Debbie Jones. BE SURE TO BRING 12 DIMES.

Night Train: January 31 – 6:30pm - HarborChase (12350 San Jose Boulevard).  Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month (except December). This is Mexican Train, and we will be happy to teach beginners.  Park in the back and check in at the front desk. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage and snacks. If you are interested in joining this group, contact Gail Packard.  BE SURE TO BRING 13 QUARTERS. 
 
Travel: February 7 - Come join us at the famous DeLeon Springs for a boat tour and lunch at the springs pancake restaurant. Costs-boat tour $19, rider share $10, park admit $6/car, lunch.
