Doors open at 10:30am for check-in/social time and our meeting will begin at 11:00am. (Please do not arrive any earlier as the room will not be ready for seating).
LUNCHEON COST: $25. All attendees must contact Barbara Metallo at 904-612-6494 to confirm their reservation. Make your check payable to MANDARIN WOMEN’S CLUB and contact Barbara for mailing instructions. Checks must be received by February 16th. There will be no exceptions. BUFFET MENU Salmon Yellow Rice Veggies Chef Salad or Chicken Caesar Salad Rolls and Butter Assorted Cookies Coffee, Ice Tea and Water PROGRAM Women’s Heart Month/American Heart Association Jessie Roush, MPH, Vice President of Health Strategies with the American Heart Association, will be joining us for our February luncheon. She will provide women’s heart health and CPR education and also share more about the American Heart Association’s work in our community. The First Coast American Heart Association collaborates with local safety net clinics, food pantries and community organizations to provide funding, education and other resources. These efforts focus on blood pressure, CPR, maternal health, nutrition security and tobacco cessation. Since it is National Heart Health month, please wear red to show your support. |
Other EventsMovie Mania: February 10 - Come join us for “Freakier Friday” Running Time: 1 hour 51 minutes. "Freakier Friday" (2025) is a sequel to the original film (2003) exploring the challenges of blended families through a magical body-swap twist that forces characters to understand each other's lives. Lunch will be at Dolce’s located at 12276 San Jose Boulevard (close to HarborChase) at 11:30 AM. Movie will be at HarborChase theatre, 3rd Floor at 1:00 PM. Any questions, contact Toby Richmond.
Recipe Exchange: February 11 - 11:30 AM at the home of Patty Blalock. Since February can be chilly, the theme is soups which includes chili. Drinks and dessert will be provided by the hostess. Don’t forget your $2.00, your recipe, containers to take home leftovers and, of course, your appetite! If you have any questions, please give Patty a call. Travel 1: February 13 - We are going to The Hot Spot (Paint Your Own Pottery, Candle Making & More) at 550 Durbin Pavilion Drive in Durbin Pavilion near Xfinity & Smoothie King.. Fun for all ages including pottery painting, candle making, mosaics, succulent gardens and more. We will meet at the shop at 11:00am and you can either bring your own lunch or we can order in from Chicken Salad Chick and eat while we’re crafting. Average cost is $30.00 depending on what you choose and no studio fees. It should take about two hours. You can take home your piece the same day except for pottery, which takes about one week. If you did not sign up at the January luncheon, contact Patty Blalock for availability. Travel 2: February 17 - Bowling at Bowlero Mandarin - 10333 San Jose Boulevard. We will meet at 1:15 and will bowl from 1:30 to 3:00. Serving unlimited pizza, fries, and soft drinks. Bowling shoes are included. Don’t worry about gutter balls because gutter bumpers will be present. Cost: $39 per person. If you did not sign up and pay at the January luncheon, contact Judy Baier for availability. Mah Jongg has two teams on two different dates. Anyone who would like to sub for either team, please contact the respective chair. TEAM A: February 16, 12:30pm – If you are interested in playing with Team A, contact Mary Kay Weis. TEAM B: February 23, 12:30pm – Meets on the 4th Monday of every month at HarborChase. If you are an experienced player and interested in joining this group, please contact Sarah Sallas-Herring. Marathon Bridge: February 24 - 4th Tuesday each month from August thru May (except December) at 11am at Noura's Cafe. Please call or text Mary Chapman if you would like to sub or want more information. Continental Rummy: February 25 - 10:00am, meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month 10:00am to approximately 1:30 at Burger Barn 475 Durbin Pavilion Drive, Suite 103, St Johns, FL 32259 (Durbin Pavilion on Race Track Road). The game is easy to learn, played as an individual (not pairs), tables of 3-8. There is both luck of the cards and some strategy involved. Participants should bring $1.80 in dimes. Night Train: February 27 – 6:30pm – We play at HarborChase. Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month. This is Mexican Train, and we are happy to teach beginners. Park in the back and check-in at the front desk. We play with quarters, so please come prepared with $3.25 in quarters. Bring your own non-alcoholic drink and snacks.
